The post also falsely states that children only get polio after being vaccinated. Over 130 people shared the posts, and around half of the responses agreed with the false claims.

Polio vaccines have eliminated wild polio in all but two countries worldwide, including Kenya and Nigeria. Communicators may explain that vaccinated children are protected against all forms of polio. Messaging may emphasize that polio outbreaks happen when not enough people are vaccinated and can only be prevented by vaccinating all children.
